Marigold Plant Care Tips
Calendula Maintenance
Calendula, sex likes a sunny environment, cold-resistant but not heat-resistant, suitable for growth in loose, fertile and well-drained soil.

Calendula Maintenance Tips
Light Control
Calendula growth needs sufficient light, at least 6 hours of light a day. In spring and autumn, it can be placed outdoors in the sun to enjoy the sun bathing; summer is hot, the sun is too strong, appropriate shade is required to prevent burns, and it can be moved to a half-shaded place; winter light is weak, and it should be placed in a bright indoor light, assisted by artificial light if necessary.

Temperature adjustment
The suitable growth temperature of calendula is 15-25 ° C. In summer, when the high temperature exceeds 30 ° C, the growth slows down. At this time, cooling measures need to be taken, such as spraying water around the plants or moving to a cool and ventilated place; in winter, if the temperature is lower than 5 ° C, it may suffer from freezing damage. It is necessary to keep warm. You can put a plastic bag on it or move it to a warm room.

Water management
Calendula is drought-resistant and afraid of waterlogging. Watering should adhere to the principle of "seeing dry and seeing wet". Daily observation of the soil, watering the surface when it is dry, and watering it thoroughly to avoid water accumulation. In spring and autumn, water is generally watered once every 3 to 5 days; in summer, the temperature is high and the water evaporates quickly, and water is watered once every 1 to 2 days; in winter, it grows slowly, and water is watered once every 7 to 10 days.

Soil selection
Loose, fertile and well-drained soil should be selected. Leaf rot soil, garden soil and river sand can be mixed in a ratio of 3:2:1 to ensure soil permeability and fertility, which is conducive to the growth of calendula roots.

Fertilization tips
During the growth period, apply a thin liquid fertilizer every 1-2 months, and add phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, such as potassium dihydrogen phosphate, before flowering to promote flower bud differentiation and increase flower volume and flower color. When applying fertilizer, avoid contact with the root system and leaves of the plant to prevent burning roots and leaves.
