Marigolds Perennial Status
Whether marigolds are perennial or not depends on their survival form in the garden, which is an important part of horticulture.

The perennial state of marigolds varies from species to species. Some marigolds have perennial characteristics and can germinate, grow and bloom year after year under suitable conditions. Their roots can take root firmly in the soil. After cold winters and other seasons, when the climate warms up, they will regain vitality and show a continuous growth trend.

However, there are also many marigold varieties, which are often cultivated as annuals. This is due to environmental factors or for the convenience of horticultural arrangement. Annual marigolds, although only in one season, can bloom in a short period of time, adding color to the garden.

To determine whether calendula is perennial, it is necessary to carefully investigate the characteristics of the variety, and at the same time take into account the climate, soil and other conditions of the planting place. In a warm and stable climate, some varieties with perennial potential are more likely to show their perennial characteristics; in places with changeable climate and severe winter, even perennial varieties may be difficult to maintain multi-year growth. Therefore, in order to understand the perennial status of calendula, it is impossible to generalize. Only by combining various factors can we obtain an accurate understanding.
