Treat others with benevolence, receive things with kindness, do not deceive or cheat, and do not harm others to benefit yourself, that is, good thoughts. Keep these two in your heart, and your path will generate light."
The wise man thanked the hermit, and from then on, he used the hermit's words as a guide, cultivated his body and established morality, had good thoughts in his heart, and practiced the right path.
